About Jewish History Tours
In recent years the AJHS, by itself, and in conjunction
with other organisations, has organised historical tours, including
- Guided walking tours of historical sites in the CBD
- Guided walking tours within various suburban centres such as Carlton
- River cruises along the Maribyrnong - - with historical commentary from our experts.
- Bus/car trips to Ballarat to visit the Synagogue and other sites.
- Long-weekend study tours of Tasmania.
On these tours, history comes alive as AJHS guides relate stories
connected to the historic sites we visit.
Members are entitled to participate on such tours at reduced rates.
Though not directly organised by the AJHS, it is worth noting for the record that recently there was a professionally organised tour of China,
focussing on aspects of the Jewish experience there,
whose participants were very active members of the AJHS (Victoria)
and the New South Wales Chapters.
